A robust citrus fruit native to tropical Southeast Asian countries, the Makrut Lime is a beloved staple in Thai cuisine for its intense and rich fragrance. Aside from its thick bumpy rinds that are used in traditional medicine and to add a strong astringent flavor in Thai and Lao curry pastes, the leaves are just as widely used in cuisine and aromatherapy for its beautifully intense citrus fragrance. Its sparking and vibrant aroma is unique and unlike other citrus fruits, and is sure to uplift and energize while providing excellent cleansing and purifying properties.

Very distinct fragrance

It's kind of between lemon myrtle and key lime for me, but softer and not too zingy. Citrus oil is always a must in my oil collection, this oil is a great addition.

Citrus lovers

So I have brought from this brand quite a lot, and this oil so far is the most amazing one. Here is what I do, two drops of this lime oil, three drops of eucalyptus, and one drop of lavender or neroli on my necklace diffuser, I am literally filled with a sense of joy all day.

What a surprise

It was quite a surprise that only a few brands carry this oil. If you are familiar with Thai cuisine, then you must know how makrut lime smells especially the leaves drive the unique zesty flavors. In Asia, it is also called Kaffir Lime. I fell in love with this cute circus when I was traveling in Thailand years ago, and I am so excited to find out the single essential oil, exactly the same fragrance! I loved it so much that I purchased four!
