Frequently Asked Questions
Are your essential oil blends natural?
Yes, our essential oil blends are 100% pure and natural. We only use natural essential oils in our blends—no synthetic additives or chemicals. Unlike many fragrance oils on the market, our blends are thoughtfully crafted to be subtle, not overpowering. They are also versatile—dilute them with a carrier oil to create perfectly scented body oils for topical use.
Where are your essential oil blends made?
Our essential oil blends are a collaboration with our scent designers from Japan and the USA, who specialize in creating subtle, natural oriental scent profiles. Some blending processes are completed in our lab in Brea, CA, while others are handled by our trusted third-party factory in Japan. As a result, you may see “Made in Japan” or “Made in USA” in the product details, depending on the blend.
Can I apply the essential oils to my skin?
Yes. Our essential oils can be diluted with a carrier oil and applied to the skin as a light, natural perfume or for topical aromatherapy. We recommend performing a patch test before first use. For safe dilution, mix 2% essential oil with 98% carrier oil.
Are your essential oils safe for pets?
Essential oil safety varies for different pets. While oils like lavender are typically safe for dogs and cedarwood for cats, each pet may react differently. Always check with your veterinarian before using any essential oil around your pets.
How does your return policy for essential oils work?
If a scent isn’t to your liking, you can keep the bottle and share it with a friend—they might love it! In the meantime, we’ll issue you a full store credit as part of our satisfaction guarantee. Please note that this return policy does not apply during promotional or sale periods.
What is the shelf life of your essential oils?
When stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, unopened bottles can last up to 2 years. Once opened, we recommend enjoying them within 6 months for optimal scent quality.

"Although this is a gift, I did open the box. The Rosewood diffuser is gorgeous and well made. Because the Zen scent was sealed, I didn't open, but I'm sure your description will be right on. Would Not Purchase Again

"Well, the scent is much to my liking, the intensity is very lacking. I have to be within 12 inches of it to be able to smell it. I understand that it is made for small rooms, but I would think that a normal bathroom would be small enough to be able to smell it in the room."
